Mentoring Workshop for Graduate Advisors in Mathematics: Logistics

Travel information:

For those who are flying, please save your boarding pass. Please bring your original boarding pass, train ticket, taxi receipts, or other documentation of travel with you to the workshop when you arrive. Other travel reimbursement information will be collected on site.

Reservations have been made in participants' names at Kendall Hotel, in Cambridge near MIT. This hotel is just a few steps from the Red Line T. For those arriving by train, the T is easiest since South Station is on the same line and just a few stops away. For those arriving by air, it's possible to take the Silver Line to the Red Line. If you're going straight from the airport to Tufts, a taxi is recommended (it's only about a 15-minute ride).

From hotel to Tufts, we recommend the T to Davis and then walking; weather forecasts are great for the weekend. We suggest that a group meet in the hotel lobby at 11am on Saturday morning to head over together.

Precise location:

Tufts University, near the Davis Square stop on the MBTA Red Line
Math Department (Bromfield-Pearson Hall), 503 Boston Ave., Medford MA.
Events will be held in BP 7 (lower level); lunches will be in the first-floor conference room.
Saturday events run from noon to 5:30pm followed by an optional dinner at a lovely restaurant TBA.
Sunday events run from 10am to 4pm. (schedule)
By design, the workshop will run better if participants can attend full days (though we know this is not possible for all).

Parking information:

Math department is circled in purple. On Saturday, you can park in the red-circled lots. On Sunday, you can park there or on Dearborn Road (right in front of the department).
